So a grok was summoned in a post during the 'Spaced' out saga. What better show to grok than the spaced of all Spaces. Raven Space. 4.19.82. This is a healing show, not a tribute to the vile shat that Spaced spewed.

How about Sunday 1/28 Noon Pacific (3pm Eastern) & (8pm for our UK bretheren). You can get show here:

I will be there. I was wondering what I was going tomorrow. I have been busy the last couple of days. A Raven Grok sounds mighty fine to me.

Hey, I would love to join in on the Grok, but that is 3:00 AM Monday morning for me here in Thailand. Would take off for the occasion, but I'm off the next Mon to watch the Super Bowl - who's gonna win boys? Has anyone ever watched a football game at 6:00 AM? I've been for a while here - it's weird, but cool.

Hope to join in on the next Grok.

Reminds me of the year I watched the Super Bowl at 2AM in Brazil. '88, I believe. The year Thiesman broke his anke?

For last summer's World Cup of Soccer(Football), I woke up for just about all the early games. 0500, baby. It was very cool. Watching soccer's world-powers and taking pre-dawn bong-hits! Sweet.

I watched the final match at 3:00 AM in Vietnam in July - that was weird (here's the correct sp) and fun.

Sorry to hear you can't make it to the grok. Perhaps you can tune in 12 hrs later or prior?

I've always wanted to go to Thailand. It's a beautiful part of the world.

the closest I came was the first bowl game NYD comes on at like 8 in Vegas - being from the east coast it was wierd (sp?-I thought it was i b4 e but that looks funny?)-and I have to admit seeing a Barbara Streisand concert the night b4!!! She didn't play The Wheel or anything.

What 5 yr period was space stretching the most in length? 80-85?

When did this other poster I guess named Space post - I didn't see it and can't find it now?

I've still got an official Grok on the backburner for Feb. 17... Stay tuned for details as I make them up!

I won't be able to make tomorrows though... Me in retail too. :(

Hey Cush. Glad to hear the Chinese New Year show is still on the schedule. Bummer you can't make it tomorrow. Last night the vibe seemed like we needed a break so I was inspired to call an impromptu grokking.

Maybe I should invent "Grok reruns" for those of us that cannot participate... After all I do get to make the rules as we go...But wait, that would be contradictory as... "There ain't no signs, no dividing lines, and very few rules to guide"...

:)

it does say "very few rules" though - so that implies you can have a couple (or maybe even a few) - which certainly can be changeable to fit into whatever needs must be met

Well maybe you can catch the next one. Or is there a better time for all? I just picked a random time.

Sorry to see your Pats didn't make it into the SuperBowl. I figured whoever won the Chargers/Patriots game was going to take the Bowl. Then again my lacking sports intuitions are why I'm not a bettin' man.

tomorrow is a tough day for me in general. i'll still be sending positive vibes out from wherever i am. I think it is a good idea too - especially keeping Ian in mind as well. And a good show for grokking (i'll be taking the discs with me, just in case i can get a few tunes in to "connect" to you guys)

Ian/McGlone posted a couple of weeks ago/10 days ago about some serious issues going on in his life - very very serious.

I spoke with him off forum a couple of times after that, but haven't heard from him in a bit. I think he may need some positive energy going his way.

(to be honest, i'm a bit concerned)

I had email correspondence w/ Ian last week. Thursday, I think. He's doing. Ya know? Just day to day.

I have faith he'll come through all his troubles, but a little support goes a long way to ease that feeling of isolation. So, I've been bothering him, regularly, and I think he's happy about that.

Man, that lost little boy really pissed me off last night the way he was yappin' at people. I was prepared to offer him a flight to Kansas and to meet him at the airport. But this morning I feel like I done wiped that shit off my shoes.

And yes midwesterners are a friendly bunch...but I don't think old what's his name would've agreed if I had gotten hold of him last night.Ha!!

Hey High Flow. I'll check out your final thoughts on the Spaced thread...that is if I dare to revisit. Too much said from all, espcially Spaced. I thought it was a fantastic post in the beginning that had 1's & 10's commenting (reds & blues or conservatives and liberals). I could care less what my fellow brothers and sisters think as long as we can share in the groove. Let's come together in a grok on Sunday!
